Festival d’Art Urbain
The Festival d’Art Urbain is an annual event that combines with a collaborative residency to bring artists from Africa and its surrounding islands together; during this time, eight visiting artists are invited to work alongside ten Malagasy artists. The festival is a unique event in Madagascar that seeks to build and reinforce artistic networks based on geographic, cultural and inter-personal aspects rather than political and colonial ones.
The festival is also a key moment to create in public space and allow a broad audience to access art and is organised by Is’Art Galerie / La Teinturerie.
