Being and Becoming: Complexities of the African Identity, is a contemporary art exhibition at UNISA Art Gallery curated by Paula Nascimento (Angola) and Raphael Chikukwa (Zimbabwe) and includes public programs in Johannesburg and Pretoria.
The exhibition is part of the !Kauru Contemporary African Art Project, which is currently in its fifth year and features works by some of the most prominent video and photography artists such as Yinka Shonibare, Robin Rhode, Ayana V. Jackson, Lerato Shadi, Kudzanai Chiurai, Thando Mama and more.
