Thabiso Nkoana & Pule Welch | Research Trip

During their research trip in Zurich, South African artists Thabiso Nkoana, Pule Welch and Thabiso Phepeng will be exploring new connections to expand their interdisciplinary, multimedia project, Col.Aboration.

Geneva based, Kinshasa born dancer and choreographer Jolie Ngemi is conducting research towards the creation of a new solo choreographic project titled “Nkisi”.

Elisabeth Stoudmann | Research Trip

Swiss journalist and cultural project manager Elisabeth Stoudmann has been invited to participating in a panel discussion at this year’s Music in Africa ACCES Conference hosted in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Yann Marussich | Research Trip

Swiss performance artist Yann Marussich will travel to Maputo, Nampula and Ilha de Mozambique for a research trip to meet actors and visit venues in anticipation of a possible residency and tour in 2023-24.

Company MEK | Research Trip

During their research trip at École des Sables in Senegal Company MEK members Muhammed Kaltuk, Annakatharina Chiedza Spörri and Sabrina Gifti Tekako will engage with local dancers to share working methods and training procedures in a process of learning from and with each other.

Experimental Swiss drummer and composer Jessie Cox will be in Senegal for a research trip to rehearse and experiment with The Liberation Orchestra from Dakar.

During his research trip in Cape Town, Swiss choreographer and dancer Alessandro Schiattarella will continue his work with Unmute Dance Company exploring themes relating to disability.

Lost+Found | Research Trip

During this research trip, three members of the global Lost+Found art collective will explore opportunities for reimagining residency structures and funding mechanisms through artist-led programmes and partnership design.

Upcoming maintenance work

The application portal myprohelvetia will be updated from 1.1.-7.1.2024. Due to these changes, open applications must be finalized and submitted via the current online portal (myprohelvetia.ch) by the latest 23:59 on 31 December 2023. Until this date, the deadlines and criteria outlined in the current guidelines and calls for applications apply. New applications can be created and submitted in the application portal as of 8 January 2024.
