The Taipei Seminar is supported through Pro Helvetia’s Liaison Offices and Zurich head office.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Nigerian multidisciplinary artist Olatunde Obajeun has been selected to attend this year’s intensive seminar from 8-19 August 2019 during the Taipei Arts Festival. The seminar brings together a dozen young arts practitioners to attend performances and discussions under the guidance of a specialists, meet professional artists performing at the festival, and exchange ideas on related subjects.

Working across music production, creative direction, filmmaking and sound design, Olatunde is interested in the meditative potential of music and creating intimate, atmospheric experiences for the audience during his performances. Olatunde’s work is influenced by Afro urban music heavily based on electric guitar, and he has been experimenting with sound and visuals to create meditative soundscapes. Olatunde has collaborated extensively with Nigerian and international artists. He looks forward to engaging with other artists during the seminar in Taipei and sharing his approach to performance.
