Residencies: Call for 2024 applications is now open!

Deadline: 1 March 2023

We’re pleased to announce the launch of the annual open call for applications for the Pro Helvetia residency programme!

Residencies aim to foster creative exchange between artists and cultural practitioners in Switzerland and their counterparts in Southern, East, Central and West Africa. Residencies, which have a maximum duration of three months, provide artists the opportunity to live and work for an extended period of time in a different cultural environment, to build international networks, gain inspiration and develop new projects and collaborations.

“[Residencies] give the possibility to confront one’s vision and work with a reality that can be extremely different, which enriches any practice more or less deeply and can transform it.”

Magali Dougoud, artist in residence 2022
