Magamba Network is an innovative creative organisation that uses digital media to create trailblazing content through its various projects. Through its creative hub, Moto Republik, the organisation has nurtured over 2 000 creatives and start-ups since its inception in 2007. It has also fostered networks amongst creative hubs in Southern Africa through the Creative South Network, a platform aimed at connecting creatives from around Africa to find creative solutions to the creative economy.

Through the Creative South Network, Magamba Network has collaborated with Modzi Arts from Zambia to create Cut From the Same Cloth, a transnational creative residency for young visual artists, fashion designers and musicians from Zimbabwe and Zambia. The residency is a creative exploration of the cultural, historical and economic relationship between Zimbabwe and Zambia, and an opportunity for creatives from the respective countries to identify connections and form new relationships. The residency will support creatives from both Zimbabwe and Zambia with training to advance their talents and provide an environment where participants can develop organic and critical content honouring the similarities in culture and history in both countries. The residents will produce collaborative works consisting of a fashion piece, a musical piece and a visual art piece.

The work will be exhibited through an event called Hustlers Market – an urban market held monthly in Harare by Magamba Network that reaches over 300 different creatives a year and has a growing audience of 1 000 young appreciators of art. For the first time, this edition of the market will be held in Lusaka, Zambia to launch the exhibition and showcase the work of an additional 15 Zambia-based artisans and creatives.
