Lineo Segoete will be on residency at Njelele Art Station from 27 November to 10 December 2019.
Lineo is a storyteller and creative in the form of writer, researcher, photographer and archivist. She is Co-director of ‘Ba re e ne re Literary Arts’, Co-convenor for the Africa Cluster in the global research collective known as ‘Another Roadmap School’ and a 2016–2017 Hubert Humphrey Fellow from Vanderbilt University where she studied education policy, planning and administration. Her work is focused on promoting critical literacies and cultural production through collaborative endeavours with peers in Lesotho and across Africa. While her writing is mainly creative non-fiction, Lineo identifies as a poet at heart. During her residency there will be two public events.
Njelele Art Station is one of the ten key Regional Mobility Partners across the region that we work with towards strengthening artistic networks, the mobility and development of artists, promoting new collaborations and systematic exchanges among cultural operators within the region.
