The Imaginarium in Windhoek

Antananarivo >> Windhoek
The Imaginarium in Windhoek is a visual art project by Malagasy artist Idah Razafindrakoto that focuses on creating an imaginative travelogue of the capital city of Namibia, and focusing on its biodiversity and plant ecology. The project aims to highlight the vegetal symbolism that characterises the fundamental relationship between humans and nature using great imagination. Through the exploration of the city of Windhoek, the project aims to promote environmental conservation for sustainable development and well-being in the community. The Imaginarium in Windhoek will consist of an exploration and exhibition of travelogues and imaginative illustrations of the city.
The project will take place at the John Muafangejo Art Center (JMAC) in Windhoek with sharing workshops with COTA (College Of The Arts) students from 19th September to 19th October 2019.
