Modzi Arts: Grow to Share International Partnerships

The Grow to Share exchange programme aims to provide a context for arts organisations within the SADC region to share skills and knowledge and explore opportunities to develop networks and collaborations.

WAZA WE EXCHANGE

Lubumbashi

24th June to 28th June 2019

Modzi Arts would like to learn from Waza Art Centre about their
development of artistic educational programmes, organizational structures
and programming. Therefore, members from the Modzi Arts team will be
traveling to Lubumbashi to experience the operational processes of Waza
as well as see how they are managing their space, fundraising, government
networks and developing programming. Additionally, capacity building for
the Modzi staff in terms of Admin/Finance, project management,
International educational narratives and artist network with Congo DR.

LEARNING THE WAYS OF NAFASI

Lusaka

22nd July to 27th July 2019

Within the same theme of Grow to Share International Partnerships, Modzi Arts would
like to learn from and exchange with Nafasi Art Space in Dar es Salaam. Modzi will
host one member from Nafasi, Rebecca Corey, in Lusaka. The exchange will focus on residency structures, fundraising, curating programmes and artist
networks within Zambia and Tanzania alike. Additionally, Modzi will have a documentary screening and open Q&A session with Rebecca Corey, who co-produced and directed with Amil Shivji from Tanzania the documentary film entitled WAHENGA (The Ancestors).

Upcoming maintenance work

The application portal myprohelvetia will be updated from 1.1.-7.1.2024. Due to these changes, open applications must be finalized and submitted via the current online portal (myprohelvetia.ch) by the latest 23:59 on 31 December 2023. Until this date, the deadlines and criteria outlined in the current guidelines and calls for applications apply. New applications can be created and submitted in the application portal as of 8 January 2024.
