Joel Tettamanti exhibition opens in Lesotho
Swiss photographer Joel Tettamanti will hold an exhibition of his work “Kobo”, documenting the lives of Basotho people at the Alliance Francaise in Maseru, Lesotho.
Displayed during the Photographic Festival of Biel 2015, the portraits are a singular and artistic way of looking at this population from Southern Africa.
Tettamanti, 39, has for the longest time specialised in a specific theme: the transformation of landscapes as a result of human intervention and has travelled to and photographed places such as Togo, Kuwait, Japan, Azerbaijan, India and Greenland.
Tettamanti, who currently resides in Switzerland studied graphic design and photography at the Ecole Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne and has been a photography teacher at the university since 2009.
